Kling 3.0 is Kuaishou's video model for turning a text prompt, or a prompt plus a still photo, into a short clip. This page collects what Kling AI says about it, what independent creators have posted, and how to use it on Effect Video.
Kling 3.0 is a video generation model from Kuaishou. Kling's own Kling VIDEO 3.0 model guide is the primary reference for the model, and the KIE Kling 3.0 interface documentation lists the request settings behind the Effect Video integration.
Kling AI introduced the model in a launch video on February 4, 2026, "Everyone a Director", which points to strong consistency and 15-second clips. A follow-up video on March 4, 2026 announced that Kling 3.0 was fully rolled out.
The same day, Kling AI on X said Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Omni and 3.0 Motion Control were fully rolled out, with a short film of action scenes by creative partner @visualsk2. On September 17, 2026, Kling AI shared that the feature film ODYSSEUS: The Fall, directed by Ash Koosha for Fountain 0, was available in full, with every shot generated by Kling 3.0 exclusively.
Early posts focused on the feature list. Heather Cooper on February 4, 2026 listed "Character & element consistency", 3-15 second generations, 1080p output and multi-shot sequences after early access. A sponsored video by Rourke on February 4, 2026 is titled "Is Kling 3.0 Actually Good? (I Spent $500 Testing For You)". Curious Refuge on February 5, 2026 published a full cinematic test, and Futurepedia on February 9, 2026 posted a breakdown against competing tools.
Several creators put Kling 3.0 next to Seedance 2.0. Latte on February 14, 2026 ran one scene, a boy rescuing his dog from an oncoming car, with the same prompt and reference image in both models, and compared character consistency during fast motion. Curious Refuge on February 20, 2026 ran the two head-to-head and commented on physics and movement in bigger physical actions. hedoήist on March 11, 2026 used the same initial and final frames for a spaceship scene and found the generations "radically different". Alex Russek on October 4, 2026 wrote about how the two differ on big action beats versus very small micro details of motion. These are individual tests, so results will vary with your prompt and reference.
For a recent example, Zidan on October 10, 2026 posted a Kling 3.0 clip at 1080p made from a Midjourney 8.2 image.
On Reddit, the r/singularity thread Kling 3.0 example from the official blog post (February 4, 2026) shares an example from the launch. Seedance 2.0 vs Kling 3.0 vs Sora 2 vs VEO 3.1 (February 10, 2026) puts four models side by side. In r/KlingAI_Videos, Comparing Kling 3 with 2 other video generators appeared on June 16, 2026, and in r/KLING a thread titled Why is Kling 3.0 so bad? appeared on August 19, 2026.
Kling 3.0 is available in the Effect Video generator. You enter a text prompt and can add one reference photo. Clip lengths are 3, 5, 8, 10 or 15 seconds at 720p, 1080p or 4k, following the KIE Kling 3.0 interface documentation.
Pricing varies with length and quality, and the generator has a sound switch: at 720p and 1080p, having sound on costs more credits than off, while at 4k the two cost the same. You see the exact credit total in the generator before you start, and credits reserved for a generation that fails are returned. Completed videos stay available for 7 days, so download the ones you want to keep.
The first release date of Kling 3.0 is not stated in the sources collected for this page; the February 4, 2026 date above is that of Kling AI's launch video, not a confirmed product release date . Kling's own feature blog post and the Kuaishou investor press release could not be opened during source collection, so they are not used here .
We did not find an independent written review focused only on Kling 3.0 , and most creator posts above compare it with other models. Resolution, length and comparison claims in those posts are reported as the creators wrote them and were not separately verified .
The KIE documentation describes the upstream endpoint, which can accept more inputs, such as audio references or a separate last frame. The Effect Video generator does not offer those. If you are planning a longer scene, try a shorter clip first to see how your prompt renders.

I tested Seedance 2.0 vs Kling 3.0. The winner was obvious. Same prompt, same reference image, one scene: a boy rescuing his dog from an oncoming car. Seedance 2.0 came out ahead across the board: · Better character consistency — the boy's face and expression stayed…
Finally got our hands on @seedanceai 2.0 (through @YouArtStudio) and ran it head-to-head with @Kling_ai 3.0. Here’s what stood out: Seedance 2.0’s physics feel stronger right away. The movement just looks more natural and realistic, especially in bigger physical actions. It also…

The difference between Kling and Seedance is really interesting. Seedance operates at a detail and coherence level very close to reality. It gets big action beats done correctly but achieves this illusion by excluding very small micro details of motion, you can especially tell…
